saved — The entire floor of the space is covered with a white, round parachute approximately seven metres in diameter. I sit on a swivel chair, my body disappearing up to the waist in the hole in the middle that maintains the balance of the chute in the air. With a needle and cotton yarn in various tones of red, I shirr the thin material round and round
the opening. The parachute gets smaller and smaller, the ring around my stomach bigger and bigger. After eight hours all of the material has been sewn up and the parachute has turned into a red and white life-saving ring.
